In 1994, Jean-Paul Fortin and his son Stephan went into business, determined to succeed and develop their new business. They took advantage of Jean-Paul’s professional training as a welder, who built the first machines for production himself. Their expertise to this day was dedicated to the manufacture of honeycomb the accordion door market, but their services were often solicited for the manufacture of cardboard boxes. During these years, the founders discovered a great future in this industry.
In 1996, Mr. Fortin decided to enter the field of cardboard box manufacturing without really knowing this field of expertise. Their rigour and passion propelled them to experiment and specialize in this domain. Since 2008, Stephan and his family have continued the work he once started with his father. The young founder is now accompanied by his children, who are pursuing the family’s professional path and adding to the winning equation. JP Carton is gradually becoming a third-generation company.
